I am trying to make some licorice candies. The recipe calls for 3tbs of ammonium chloride. What kind of store sells ammonium chloride for cooking?

BTW, I’m Europe.
Thank you
Baking soda is Sodium bicarbonate. I needed ammonium chloride. The baking soda didn’t taste sour enough.
And yes, I do need it for cooking – what else? I wonder if the ammonium chloride sold in hardware store is safe for eating.

Ammonium chloride is sold in blocks at hardware stores for use in cleaning the tip of a soldering iron
Yes, Im sure you need it for “cooking” *snicker*
Edit: Well beleive it or not Ammonium chloride can be used in certain chemical synthesis. Acid/base extractions, reacting with other substances, etc
I came across your Question by fluke while searching google for ways of purchasing Ammonium Chloride for that very reason.
I actually dont know if it would be safe for cooking, you could probably ask the guys down at the hardware store though
