GREEN SMOOTHIES ARE THE BEST!
December 2nd, 2009 at
I tried making them in an old food processor and they are so chunky. I’ve gonna have to save up for a blender. Green smoothies are awesome.

Vita Mix. Bar None. Very expensive, but they are amazing and for a lifetime. I just bought one just for these purposes and it is so powerful.

I bought a Oster 700 watt blender at Walmart today for $44, I made 2 green smoothies and a watermelon slushie, and it did the job well. I add ice cubes, and this blender could handle it. So you don’t have spend $400 on a Vitamix right away.

what is the best procesator or mashine to make smoothies, phillips or what mark?

What a convincing video – I will certainly try putting greens in my smoothies from now on. I probably don’t have a powerful enough blender – wonder about that??

Oooh dear. At least eat sprouts, then, darling, promise. Anyone, anywhere can grow sprouts if you have some fresh water. I lived on sprout salads while on 3 day extreme backcountry hikes and had more energy and effortless recovery than I’ve ever had. Give it a try – no need for fancy equipment. Soak the seeds in a 1/2 pint deli cup, transfer to a nut milk bag and rinse twice a day. Voila: a salad far more nutritious than a dried, dead power bar. Good luck!

I’ve used green powders, but not as my only source of greens. The smell /taste of oxidized green smoothies (about a day old) reminds me of the powder’s.

I dont really like the look of green smoothies, but the taste is fine – you dont taste the veggies at all! – and I always feel more energetic after having one. But the reason I choose to drink green smoothies is I always LOOK better after having one!! My skin almost glows, my hair becomes really soft and my I dont have break outs for days!!! its amazing!! I

I’ve been drinking green smoothies everyday, and around 80% raw, for a year. I have more energy. I’ve lost 30 lbs, my glucose went down, I was borderline diabetic. My blood pressure went down, Yeah! I looked at a photo from last year, and noticed the crow lines by my eyes are almost gone. 46yrs old.
I try to very my greens and fruits. I use frozen fruits as a back up. I’m now going to add Hemp, Flax seed and Dulce to my smoothies. Whole foods sells Hemp Protein.
Hope this gives ideas.

You can be 200 lbs and alot physically healthier than someone else at same age and height who is only 100 lbs.
there is far too much weight obsession in America, its beyond ridiculous
the Conventional attitude is If you smoke, Drink and eat junk food all day long, WHO CARES ?
As long as you weigh under 120 lbs that in itself means you’re healthy !
America is so clueless about health and Nutrition that its astounding

Victoria was obese when she started the raw food diet, with all the health problems that go with it. Since I have last seen her, she has lost even more weight in this. Even so, it isn’t about weight, it’s about health. I suggest you read the book about her family, it is a very amazing book about what this family went though in regaining their health.

I read about green smoothies when I was on day 4 or 5 of a 100% raw month. It was my first attempt. The first few days I had upset stomachs, but once I started doing green smoothies the problem went away. I have never used powders so I can’t comment on them, but the smoothies are great for digestion, cleansing, and energy. Congratulations on going raw!
