rachely1 asked the following question:
My son poured a bottle of cooking oil all over himself and the living room floor and couch. I have a laminate floor and microfiber couch. How do i clean this mess up? I have mopped the floor four times, first with hot water and ammonia, then with hot water and vinegar and then with a Swffer WetJet and then a dry mop and Windex. I removed the volume of the oil, but I still have a streaky film on the floor. I used hot water and vinegar on the couch, but still have oil spots. What can I try next?

soap and water for tyhe laminate floor and for your couch you can spend the money to buy anew one or go and spend your money buying an hand held little green machine as sold in canadian tire instead they are a bout a hundred bucks and since it is very likely to happen again i would go for the wet vac. also the number one spot remover of all time which ihave found is sold in some health food stores called SOAP FACTORY it really does get everything out! lipstick crayon blood paint grease adn yess cooking oil. but it is hard to find.

try a product called Goof Off, or Goo Gone…..that typically works on all sorts of stains…..but be sure to try it on the underside of your furniture to check for staining, but it shouldn’t……
